After a short hiatus, EcoEvo will be back up and running for the next year. Firstly, a massive thank you to the previous Editors, Dr Niamh McCartan and Josua Seitz! Wishing them the best of luck and we’ll hopefully hear from them in future blog posts.
Aoife
Hi everyone! I’m Aoife Molloy, a first year PhD student within the Buckley Lab in the Zoology Department. I have previously been working here as a Research Assistant, assisting with field and lab work, data management, and policy work.

I am interested in the intersection of climate and biodiversity policy. My current research focuses on how existing evidence can be mobilised to support robust, science-based decision-making in policy and practice. This includes examining nature-based solutions alongside complementary approaches to address pressing societal challenges, particularly in the areas of climate adaptation and mitigation.
